Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
+ My Favorites
Kata Tjuta, also known as the Olgas, are located in Central Australia and are part of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The Kata Tjuta are the visible tips of huge rock slabs that extend far beneath the ground, appearing above the surface as huge dome-shaped rock formations. It is possible they extend down to 6 km (4 mi).

Uluru (Ayers Rock)
+ My Favorites
Part of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Uluru, also commonly known as Ayers Rock, is located in Australia's red centre and is the country's most recognizable landmark. The enormous monolith sits as a huge block of rock in the desert and above ground measures 3.6 km (2.2 mi) long by 1.9 km (1.2 mi) wide by 348 m (1141 ft) high. The formation takes its name from the Anangu aboriginal people who call the area home and to whom Uluru is sacred.
